A Prayer for Victoria Day 2026
Gracious and loving God,
As we gather to mark Victoria Day, we pause to offer our gratitude for the many blessings of peace, freedom, and community that we enjoy in this nation of Canada.
We thank You for the change of seasons, for the new life of this spring, and for the opportunity to rest and enjoy the beauty of our land, from coast to coast to coast. We remember the history that has shaped us, and we ask for wisdom to honor what is good while seeking justice and reconciliation in our communities.
Creator, we pray for unity across our diverse nation. Strengthen the bonds between provinces, communities, neighbours, families, and friends. May this holiday remind us of the strength we find in supporting one another.
We pray for our leaders, that they may act with compassion and integrity, guiding us toward a future of prosperity, inclusivity, and equality.
Protect those who serve to keep us safe, and extend Your comfort to those who are lonely, weary, or in need of rest.
May this Victoria Day be a time of joyful renewal, safety, unity, and gratitude.
